Privacy policy

PalavaWala is run by 11thDirection. This policy explains what we collect.

What we collect

Your first name, mobile number and society when you sign in. What you search for, and which businesses you view, call, message or save. Reviews you write. If you use the website without signing in, we keep a random code in your browser so that one person is not counted twice. Business owners also give business details, phone number, photos and, for home businesses, a flat number if they choose to show it. If you ask us to call you about a listing, we keep your name, business and number.

How it is used

To show relevant businesses, to show your first name and society beside your reviews, to give owners counts of how many people contacted them, and to measure whether contacts worked out. If you are signed in, PalavaWala's staff can see which businesses you contacted, with your name, society and a masked number. Business owners do not see who you are unless you contact them yourself. We do not sell your data.

What is public

Business listings, reviews and your first name on a review are public, and can appear in search engines. A business phone number is shown only when someone presses Call, and we limit how many one person can open.

Google Maps and YouTube

Listing pages can show a Google map and a YouTube video. When they load, Google and YouTube receive your device address and can apply their own policies.

MyPalava card

If you buy the card, we keep your card number, plan, payment record and the bills stores save against it. A store that checks your card sees your first name and the date it ends. When you save a bill, you see it in your savings.

Your choices

You can delete your account in the app under Account, or see Delete your account. Reviews and saved lists are removed with it.
